I am trying to eval Sophos Anti-Virus. I received an email from them that suggests that I download the anti-virus version depending on the libc as shown below:
Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux on Intel using libc5
or
Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux on Intel using libc6
or
Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux on Intel using libc6 (glibc 2.2)

Can you be more specific? What do you mean by "what version is loaded"?
If you want to know which libraries will be called running an application you can use:
ldd /path/to/binary
I don't know whether that answers your question.
