    # startup the X server
    bash# startxwin.sh

    # make sure display is set correctly - or use the xterm that startxwin.sh started
    (xterm)# ssh -X remotemachine xterm

    Looks like cygwin is setup to use '127.0.0.1:0' by default instead of ':0'
