    not sure where to start.
    problem:
            1) xmms plays mp3s: it sounds like the voicing has been cut out.
i can hear some sound but it is echoy/reverby
            2) dvds play but only the background music is heard. no audio
               of voices.

    recent system changes:
            1) updated to firefox 0.9

i would include some system info but i dont' know where to start.

    Thanks in advance!
