1) a little bit more information would be great: is this a server or a workstation?
if its a workstation:
do in the gui:
choose:
-systemtools or settings (no sure, doing it by head) in the menu
-select authentication
-choose in both registers each samba and winbind. indicate there your domain-name and server-name
..you should be done, your machine should now be in the windows-domain
if its a server:
-please tell me the security settings in the smb.conf. is it user, server, ads, domain?
