    If you can't ping from the router: This will flush the old ARP cache
    entry on some Cisco Routers. I have not tried it on anything else:

            ping -q -c 1 -b -I $COMMONIP $NETWORK

    Where $COMMONIP is the IP address of the interface to ping from and
    $NETWORK is the network address of your subnet.
