    Maybe this is the problem and maybe it is a firefox problem:

    I am using KDE, as noted, and in KDE I can also set my default mailer. And I
    have. It's set to KMail.

    But maybe firefox is being dense and ignoring that some of us use KDE, not
    Gnome and it's reading some gnome config files...
