Alien is really a perl script. Therefore installing alien on your system
is really easy. Go here and get
    the source:

    http://www.kitenet.net/programs/alien/

Extract the source (It will make a directory named alien...), enter the
    source directory, su to root
and type all on one line:

    perl Makefile.PL; make; make install

Hit the enter key. Once you do this, the latest version of alien will be
    installed on your system.

    Best regards
