    You mean the dvd-rom and dvd-burner on one IDE channel?

    Won't that give conflicts during copying a DVD?

    With the current setup, I also get I/O errors during install (luckily, they retry, so all is installed)...

    First thing I'd do is get rid of the 3rd controller. Put both the CD &
    DVD on the same controller as master/slave. Those devices are "slow"
    compared to a disk drive, so having them both on one controller should
    be OK no matter what you do.
