I have an Epson Stylus Color 860 (locally attached USB). A cups
print job was spooled, but the printer is stalled in an out-of-ink condition.
Cups let me cancel the print job, but the underlying usb process
is hung (even kill -KILL doesn't relese it).
root 8587 8571 0 21:03 ? 00:00:29 usb:/dev/usb/lp0 74 xxxx (stdin)
lsof shows this process has /dev/usb/lp0 opened and the kernel
module usblp.ko reports it's in use and can not be unloaded.
Can this condition be fixed without a reboot? Is there anything
I can do to gather more information?
BTW, this is kernel 2.6.10-1.760_FC3
