    Thanks for the reply, Gene, but I believe you misunderstood what I
    requested help on. (See above. I snipped away what I posted so you can
    see what I mean.)

    I need to know how to mount this camera as a mass storage device. I
    already have it working as a webcam via the spca5xx driver. This camera
    is not supported by gphoto2, and I have not found any other GUI app that
    will be a front-end for managing this camera. I can't even figure out
    how to mount the darn thing manually. Here's what a cat
