If I'm reading you correctly, your DHCP server (you don't say where
it is) is giving you an address in the range 192.168.2.0 through .255.
Your access point is on a totally different network, 192.168.0.50, so
I don't see how you can use it to get through your network.

First, find out what your IP address actually is:

            ifconfig eth0

If it's in the 192.168.2.x range, you can do one of two different things
to access the AP. You can force a route:

route add net 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 dev eth0

or change the IP address on your NIC to the same as that of the AP:

            ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0

How about describing your network a bit more? What router are you
using? Does it have wireless on it? What is acting as your DHCP
server? Do you want the NIC on your machine to plug into the AP
so your machine goes wireless? Just what are you trying to accomplish?

Set up a non-broadcasting ESSID and a WEP key, PRONTO!
