I think what you want to do is use "is <user> here" in your
.fetchmailrc, where <user> is your local username.
For example:
poll your.mailserver.com proto pop3 user "jlwallen@monkeypantz.net" pass
"xxx" is "jlwallen" here;
That line probably wrapped.
