mounting drive problems under a home drive

hi my problems exists in being able to mount a floppy drive and making that
a home drive so in the end the user logs in and is asked to insert a floppy
to continue. im 50% sure its done in fstab and .bash_profile and
.bash_login/logout etc
anyone have any easier means for this to be accomplished.
ps. O/S is fedora core 2 as a test subject
