    I have a laptop which only has USB 1.2. I am thinking about getting a
    Firewire/IDE conversion box so I can use this laptop with an external
    IDE HD. Has anyone tried this (i.e., using an IDE/Firewire conversion
    box on FC) before? Thanks.
