Benjamin,
You are struggling with installing programs from source. Why don't you
install the rpms then, they are far easier to update anyway?
You ether install
ftp://www.zoo-logique.org/xnview/download/XnView-static.i386.rpm
or
ftp://www.zoo-logique.org/xnview/download/XnView.i386.rpm if you have
openmotiv installed.
