    Beware of the i865 chip!
    There have been known bugs in Xorg affecting this chip. I have it and I've been
    hit hard from installation on. It's fixable, and documented, so if you
    like one of those motherboards, you can still buy it, but just be aware.

    The fix using FC3's libvgahw.a works. Also, I haven't had problems with
    the latest X server update (though I did big time with the previous), so
    it must be fixed, finally.

    There is a Creative Labs SBLive sound card which is some sort of software
    modem analog for sound cards, and it is not supported by linux. I forget
    the exact model.
