    perhaps it timed out - your nameservers might be slow to provide the
    answer...

    I've had a bunch of problems with speed of dns with ipv6 and have
    resorted to doing...
    echo "alias net-pf-10 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf
    and rebooting to turn it off
