Re: Getting fuji to work as webcam

I'm trying to get a Fuji 5500 to work with Linux. Although it is a

the camera with no need to install drivers, but Fedora Core 4 fails to
use the camera. The Fuji website doesn't have anything useful, either.

What must be done to use the camera as a webcam in Fedora? Thank you
in advance for any advice.

If you put it in webcam mode what does your machine detect when you plug the camera in (presumably not a mass storage device)? There are a number of usb video capture chipsets supported by linux, though it's entirely possible that whatever the fuji has isn't one of them.
