sorry, i should have said dell dimension 2200, its a desktop.
celeron cpu, 18gb of disk, etc.
i am taking another run at this, i will try this url and see if it
helps. i may have been on the right track earlier today,
but not taking disk 1 out before the following boot may have
glitched.
