Installing videolan-client did work, but I'd like to figure out the problem. I don't have fedora-extras repo. I have the ones listed below. No repo other than release & updates are in FC4 by default. With FC5 you'll also get fedora extras by default.
Extras is also enabled in FC4 by default.
