With Solaris' CDE there is a menu option to connect to another machines
display/login manager. How do you do this with Fedora/KDE?

When in the gdm login menu, use PF9 to a chooser for remote XDMCP enabled
servers. If not displayed (becuase of you network topology / switch / router
etc blocking broadcast), use the name / IP address of the server you want to
access.
