Erm -- Gene, did you try plugging that number into Google? The first
result is http://www.liteonit.com/odd/English/e_product/e_sohw1673s.asp
which says
Support Double Layer DVD+R9 Recording Function
in bold, even.

Note: to the best of my knowledge, you can't get dual-layer rewritable
media.
