Has anyone been able to get dual-head and nvidia accelerated to work
on FC5 x86_64?

Yes, I have been using the nvidia driver on FC5 since the night I installed it. I had to apply a patch to the driver and install a newer 2.6.16-1 kernel from davej's site: http://people.redhat.com/davej/kernels/Fedora/FC5/RPMS.kernel/ . I also reused the xorg.conf file i had been using on FC4.
