E.g. to allow
Normal CUPS admin is done thru the web interface. Additional management
is done via the lpadmin command. Other than that, to manage network
access use the hosts.allow to manage network access. To fine tune access
use the directives found in cupsd.conf file.

You can do whatever you want on your side of the network, but I haven't seen any cablemodems that allow you to change the IP address of their web interface.... If I can monitor the cable modem to graph the traffic statitistics using SNMP, shouldn't I be able to set the read community string to something other than the default of "public"? ...
