Thank you for pointing this out. I had another
problem that I needed to solve before fixing this one.
slmodemd did not work and thanks to
discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx a patch was provided. Now I can
connect to internet and thus download updates.
[root@localhost ~]# yum install maxima-runtime-clisp
