You should generally keep these discussions posted to the list so that
others can learn from and contribute to the discussion.

Bonjour,
Is there something to flash the bios from linux? I'm running FC4 and I
don't have any floppy driver....
BIOS flashing tools are typically obtained from motherboard manufacturers.
Yes but, though recently bought computer have no floppy drive, they
still describe the method for flashing from a floppy.
Now, it seems that you can flash your bios from windows: is there the
same utility under linux?
You need to ask the motherboard manufacturer. Motherboard flashing through
the motherboard (as opposed to pulling the bios rom and putting in a
programmer) is not standardized and each motherboard needs its own flashing
tool.
If they descxribe how to do it using a floppy (presumbaly under DOS), you
can probably do this with a CD instead. As I said there is a tool for writing
floppy images to CDs so that the CD is bootable. I used that technique to
reflash the motherboard of an older machine at work that didn't have a floppy
drive.
