It depends on how you created the disc. Have you tried udf as the type?
No, her problem doesn't depend on the filesystem. Even the wonderful UDF
needs to be able to access more than the first 2 kilobytes of a DVD to be
useful.
Ann might learn a lot by swapping the drives.
