Good guess, I believe I did. What happened do you think? Ric
kdelibs/kdebase must have gotten upgraded.
Mixing old(er) and new(er) libraries and binaries tends to drive KDE crazy.
Once you logged in again, the 'new' libraries were loaded with the 'new'
binaries which solved the problem.
