not sure if you have it or not, but this sound card requires you have aI guess you are right, thanks. BTW I couldn't get analog middle
dongle thing from creative to output the digital sound to some external
device. without this, you will just get the noise.

channel working cause it was unplugged. Damn I'm noob.
Last remaining problem is: is it possible to restart alsa, and if not, why?
