MN54GPC-R PCI wireless card (?)

Has anyone managed to get a MN54GPC-R PCI wireless card working in
Fedora Core 5?
I thought there were free software drivers for this, but they seem to
rely on some binary "blobs" which assume an older version of gcc --
I always get bad version messages with the module.
