So as I understand, you have to install first VMware -server and above it,as guest, the OS's you need.
Centos is a good base for Vmware applics and I hope Stable.

That is correct. In addition to needing plenty of RAM, you should also note that any
time you get a new kernel in an update (that will happen even with Centos), you have
to re-run the vmware-configure.pl script before the server will start. On the plus side,
once the guest images are created, they are very portable. You can move them to
machines with very different hardware or host OS's (even Windows or now an
intel Mac) without having to change anything. If you can shut the guest machines
down for the duration of a copy you can do backups by copying the image files.
Otherwise don't forget to set up some kind of backup within the guests just like
you would with a real machine.
