Does anyone know where i can get yum 3.1 rpm that will
work for me on fc5?
Yum depends upon a lot of components and is probably best in functionality by staying with the version designed or left lagging so it fit the system.
You could upgrade the system to one that supports version 3.1 of yum. If you want the latest updating program, why not desire programs and libs from the newer version.
