invisible icons in ooo / kde / fc6

Has anyone else seen a problem with the icons and menus and toolbars in
OpenOffice? Mine often disappear entirely, leaving just the grey
frames, but when the mouse cursor is over them they appear and work
normally.

Nothing unusual on this system that could affect it that i know of...
all updates from yum
