USB problems on Thinkpad 390 with FC6

I recently upgraded my venerable Thinkpad 390 from FC4 to FC6.
The internal USB port was working fine under FC4 (and the latest Knoppix) but isn't recognized under FC6.

The uhci_hcd drivers exits with status -16 (Device Busy).
/proc/ioports shows that FCA0-FCBF is registered to the motherboard and not uhci_hcd.
Looks like the uhci_hcd quirks isn't catching the definition.
ACPI whines about disabling the IRQ for the device.

Has anyone else run into this, and if so do you have a work-around?
