Hi Rick,

The workstation locks after normal pxe booting. I mean it is listing the
normal boot lines until arrival at the point of the USB test.

I connected the keyboard and mouse on the USB-ports. When I disconnect the
keyboard and mouse, the workstation boots normal.
The difference between a model 3800 and 2300 is respectively USB 2.0 and
USB 1.0.

So, could it be the USB 2.0?

It could be. I had an issue with USB (ehci driver) with one of the
kernels (I think it was 2.6.20-1.2925), but the upgrade to .2933 seems
to have solved it.

Should I upgrade the kernel or a driver or something else? Just want to be sure. If it this doesn't work today I will exchange it or perhaps use Nomachine-NX. I am going tomorrow to Berlin where I bought it. I can't lose any time anymore, because I lost already 2 weeks on the Siemens server, which had a BIOS problem.

Thanks
