Hi,
on a fedora 6, I've setup a guest OS (FC6 of course). On the guest OS,
when I do an 'updatedb', the system seems to be freezed and takes 99%
CPU. It hasn't finish after 1h30... (nothing has been installed after
the OS)
Any help would be appreciated
If you have modest hardware resources it may take a while to get the job done.
Please give us a break! Stop with being coy, embarrassed or shy. Give
us the details!
Are you using XEN, VMware (server | workstation | client), or other
virtualization software?
What version?
What FC6 kernel, e.g. "uname -a" are you running?
What hardware resources do you have cpu (lowly celeron, power-hungery
xenon, etc.) and memory (total system, client allocation)?
What other processes do you have running on the host OS?
