It's a double edged sword. If something isn't updated for a soon to
be EOL'd version, some folks get mad and blame the developers for
neglecting it while it's still supported.

fixes should be pushed in the last couple of months along with bug
fixes that are serious (as in several people have reported it)

horse that shouldn't even be given a show at the payoff window.
Agreed. The hard part is determining which updates are important and
which aren't. Any bug which affects my system is an important one to
me. But it might not be so to you, even less so if the fix for me
happens to have an undesired effect on your system.
I think you might get more 'testing' if it wasn't for installing a
rawhide item pulling in so much other stuff, with that breaking
unrelated stuff, so those of us that want to do more with our boxes
than serve as a test bed for rawhide generally steer clear of it
because its an all or nothing repo.
I think Rahul probably replied to this already. But it's generally
not good to use rawhide with a released version. That's what
updates-testing is for. It needs to get more use (both by user and by
package maintainers). How to make it more useful is something that
the folks on the devel list have been talking about.
(And just to be clear, I'm not one of the people that's making that
happen. The few small packages and other contributions I've made to
the project are pretty damn minor. I'm just a user who's trying to
give a little bit back where I can.)
Not really. My IQ is at least a few points above 3 (I think) and
Your slight rewording seriously changed the meaning, I was counting
digits, and it takes 100+ to make 3.
So, like I said (and obviously proved), my IQ is just a few points
above 3. I hate to admit that I wasn't trying to reword your
sentence, I just misread it. I'm thick like that sometimes. :)
