They say you can sure screw up the system without even trying. This is why I *think* I want a CD-Rom with Grub on it to recover from disaster.
Note that if you have an install CD, you already have this -- you can boot
in rescue mode. Or, a Fedora Live CD would also work.
Next I will try the rescue mode and expect it will work fine. What I have been missing is what to do when you somehow get a screen with:
