i wanted a simple test ... at least the read worked. What do you think would

To execute manually the commands from the kdeaddons post-install
script (see rpm --query --scripts kdeaddons), where the first line
runs the full /sbin/ldconfig command.
That is because you complained like this:
Updating : kdeaddons ##################### [ 88/171]
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.60994: line 1: 15897 Segmentation fault /sbin/ldconfig
This has not been a good set of updates guys ...
A segfault like that can be completely unrelated to the update packages.
After reboot and a rpm -e here and there I did manage to get things updated.
Sounds weird.
