are you use a x86_64 cpu?
yum list will display 2 packages of firefox, one is
the > x86_64 version and
the another is i386 version.

No. I have an i386 and the packages I see are all
i386.
The thing I don't understand is the firefox 1.5 (from
yum) and the firefox 2.0 (direct from firefox).
