Those who like labels will say use labels for everything. I do not
like them so I got rid of them all and did just what you are doing.
Works fine as expected.

I'll second that. I've been doing that all along. Be careful
though; the wrong typo can leave you in a heap of misery, or at
least give you a far chunk of annoyance.
