Thanks Todd. I'm going to try it now and post update soon.
Looking at the page in Firefox, I have nice, smooth edges to the fonts
on the left. And I am only using the stock freetype from Fedora.

Arrrggghhh! That looks great! That's what I want! Thanks for uploading the
shot! Did you change the stock Firefox font options or you running the
defaults?
