Cups restart

I'm trying to restart cupsd but get this error,

[david@reddwarf ~]$ sudo service cups restart
Stopping cups: [FAILED]
Starting cups: cupsd: Child exited with status 1!
[FAILED]
[david@reddwarf ~]$

How do I kill a child.
