I'm not sure how to set up a shared printer, I'll research that.
Can someone on list advise Vikram on shared printers please.

I tried to install driver and print but i think
the problem is with accounting. Because we are using
shared printer on LAN and everyone is having an account
on the printer. But username/password is not being asked
when printing command is given and no printing is done.

Please tell me how to enable accounting.

I've always had a difficulty getting xerox to work.
You have to do it the long hard way and point it to pxlcolor.ppd for or
pxlmono.ppd if it's a bw printer.

If you're using fedora look in /usr/share/cups/model/ or do a 'locate'
for those files.

Add Printer, select LPT#1, Choose Driver, Provide PPD file, enter the
path to the ppd and follow the prompts.

If you're using fedora look in /usr/share/cups/model/ or do a 'locate
*.ppd | less' for those files.
Also check if foomatic is installed
