F17 upgrade frustration

I've about had it with this bloody upgrade nonsense. Nothing I do gets me past the 'dirty filesystems' dialog when trying to upgrade. I filed a bug report, but so far no answer.

Has anyone else found a way to make this go away? Short of a wipe/install that is.
