Makefile from glade-- does not work

Hi, I am using glade <project file> to produce a Makefile
for C++ source.
When I run the makefile I get the error message
"No rule to make ./config.status".
How can I fix this.
I am using libgtkmm-2.0, libgtk 2.8.10.
Glade-gnome works fine when I produce C files.
Many thanks,
Rob Key
