Metacity, start new apps on top

Hi,

I'm having a "problem" with metacity, I'm using debian sid and metacity
2.14.1. When I start programs, the almost always start up behind the
others! I want them to always start up, focused and on top, is this
possible ? Is this a debian specific problem?
