Sure there are people up to it, although i'm not quite a seasoned
developer(rather a hobby coder.)
What's missing is someone to write out exactly what the program should
include and how it is supposed to work(yeah we clould all download
crocodile software, but are we copying or creating new stuff?)
So since you're the one with the hours in front of a chemistry lab(i
hate chemistry) if you were to write out some moderately detailed
specifications/features i am sure someone will develop it.

Just here to point out a critical bug in gnome:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/1 (I know that's an Ubuntu
bug, but it also applies to Gnome.)
Here's one of the many steps which need to be taken to fix it:
There should be a program called Glab, short for Gnome Laboratory. It
should be an open source linux version of crocodile chemistry
(http://www.crocodile-clips.com/crocodile/chemistry/), a virtual
chemistry lab. I always used to sit in front of my windoze computer for
hours playing on it...
Anyone up for this challenge?
