Gnome terminal character set

Hello list,

At home I'm using UTF-8 as my charset. I constantly login to a server
with ssh from a gnome-terminal, and after logging in, I change the
character set to iso-8859-2, which the server is using. I wonder if it's
possible to create a profile which uses this character set by default?

Regards,
Gergely Polonkai
