Changing the window menu

Hello,

I'm not sure I'm posting to the right list, but it worths a try.
Is it possible to change the window menu in gnome? I want such a
behaviour like in Windows, e.g in PuTTY, where the window menu (which
contains minimize, maximize and such) is extended with many more commands.

Rgds,
Gergely
